1. The appeal must be filed within 30 days of the decision of the Appeals Tribunal.
2. The appeal must be typed and not exceed 5 pages.
3. The name and address of the Tribunal to which the appeal is filed
4. The date, month and year of the appeal
5. The name and address of the respondent’s office
6. A detailed statement of the grounds for the appeal
7. A clear and concise statement of the decision the applicant is seeking to make
8. A statement of the truthfulness and accuracy of the appeal and a signature on each page
9. One copy of the appeal and one additional copy for each party represented as respondents
10. If the appeal is filed through an attorney, a power of attorney must be submitted
11. If the appeal is filed through an agent, a photocopy of the power of attorney must be submitted
12. A photocopy of the applicant’s renewed ID card must be submitted
The Appellate Tribunal is an independent tribunal that hears and determines appeals against awards made by the Addis Ababa City Administration Land Tenure Expropriation and Compensation Affairs Complaint Hearing Assembly. Thus, the Appellate Tribunal is neither able nor does it give legal advice to any person. You are advised to engage a lawyer if you require legal advice on whether you should appeal, the merits of your appeal, and the presentation of your case.
